December 1, 2015 :8:DNSs, Child ID Thieves, TVs, and Batteries

Great meeting guys!

A lot of people showed up. We were lucky to have seats for everyone. And, thou I didn’t come in with many topics, I think we covered a lot of good stuff.

  • Manually setting DNS, and Mike’s experience  with HMA
  • vtech over 5Million peoples data children and their parents compromised by bad security. see Gizmodo article: http://gizmodo.com/the-horrifying-vtech-hack-let-someone-download-thousand-1745321580
  • 4K, smart TVs, etc.
  • Batteries from Cnet’s short video: three ways you treat your batteries now: 1. Don’t drain battery completely – it could hurt it’s overall life, 2. Overcharging is not a problem, and 3. Fully charging batteries before use isn’t required.
